How we Remember and how we Forgive determines our Character

ON ANY GIVEN DAY IN 2001, nearly 25,000 people departed on flights in the United States. On the early morning of September 11, 19 men associated with the Islamist extremist group al Qaeda under the direction of Osama bin Laden boarded four flights intending to hijack the planes and use them as weapons to destroy major American landmarks.

American Airlines Flight 11 carried 76 passengers, nine flight attendants, two pilots, and five of the hijackers. About 15 minutes after takeoff, the plane was overtaken by the terrorists, who stabbed two flight attendants and a passenger.

Two other flight attendants made calls from the coach cabin to report the hijacking to American Airlines officials on the ground. One, Betty Ann Ong, stayed on the phone for approximately 25 minutes, calmly reporting from the plane to an American Airlines reservation office in North Carolina. The other, Madeline Amy Sweeney, reached the flight services office in Boston and provided information to help identify the hijackers. As the flight crew worked to keep passengers calm, the plane turned south, descending rapidly. After 45 minutes in the air, Flight 11 approached Manhattan, flying south along the Hudson River. At 8:46, the plane crashed into 1 World Trade Center, the north tower, instantly killing everyone on board and hundreds in the building.

First responders mobilized immediately. News helicopters in the area began reporting the crash, generally presuming an accident had been caused by a small aircraft. Nearby onlookers recalled staring up in disbelief and horror, and seeing the sky fill with white paper blowing out from the tower’s gash.

UNITED AIRLINES FLIGHT 175 departed Logan International Airport en route to Los Angeles with 11 crew members and 54 passengers, including five hijackers. At roughly the same time that Flight 11 struck the north tower, Flight 175 was hijacked. Two passengers and a flight attendant made phone calls to people on the ground, reporting the hijacking. Passenger Brian David Sweeney reached his mother, Louise, and told her that the passengers were considering rushing the cockpit to regain control of the plane. Shortly after 9:00, the plane crashed into the south tower, killing everyone on board and hundreds inside the building.

The 9/11 Memorial displays the names of the 2,982 men, women and children killed in the 9/11 attacks—in New York, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon—and in the February 26, 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Attitude Is Everything

absorbing all that is around you

seeing all that is around and within you

The process of human change begins within us. We all have tremendous potential. We all desire good results from our efforts. Most of us are willing to work hard and to pay the price that success and happiness demand.

Each of us has the ability to put our unique human potential into action and to acquire a desired result. But the one thing that determines the level of our potential, produces the intensity of our activity and predicts the quality of the result we receive, is our attitude.

Attitude determines how much…

I wish you patience

Patience (George Michael album)

I wish you patience.  I hope that you are able to wait for things and people around you, and not try to hurry life or hurry people to do things according to your wishes and not theirs.  Many things in life take time to develop if they’re going to be as valuable as they can be, and it’s up to us to wait for them.

How many times have we all lost out on great opportunities because we jumped too soon, thinking that we would lose out if we waited for something to happen?  I wish you the patience that comes of peace of mind, the ability to recognize when it’s better to wait than to leap, better to bide your time than to hurry.

I wish you patience with other people and their mistakes and problems, and I wish you the realization that we all learn different lessons at different paces, and we cannot expect everyone to advance at the same speeds as each other.  Be patient with the people who show immaturity, ignorance, intolerance, even prejudice, for these behaviors merely show where the people are at this moment.

I see clearly now

It was there the whole time

Seeking answers with toil and time, might as well suck on a lime to receive the same, since it is all a game

Believe the answers are there; no need to look anywhere except inside your soul to become aware of the goal

Winning requires a team with high esteem; embrace those you choose for then you will not lose

Receive it with gratitude and others are attracted to your attitude; opposing stagnant, you become a magnet

I see clearly now, my energy creates the wow; by choice through my own voice

Those around me, encouraged to see, the person I will be, as I believe I will achieve

You can change your attitude and change your life

Create your Life

Posted: 27 Jan 2011 09:06 AM PST

”Be gentle with yourself, learn to love yourself, to forgive yourself, for only as we have the right attitude toward ourselves can we have the right attitude toward others.”  Wilferd A. Peterson.
You can have a positive attitude about the events in your life , or you can come from a place of complaint and misery. You decide. You can consciously choose to respond in a positive way to almost any event or circumstance-a positive attitude is simple a choice you make.

Now we all know people with negative attitudes .They are the ones who constantly complain, whine and moan. Nothing seems to go right for them. They are the perpetual victims in life. This is because they are operating at a lower frequency, and through the Law of Attraction they are attracting even more to complain about. The reason they tend to stay ”stuck” in their negative lifestyles is because they are constantly focusing their thoughts and energy on their negative present and negative past. By doing so, they are creating the same future over and over.

On the other hand, we also know people with positive attitudes-the ones who always seem to be happy, the ones who really seem to have a handle on things in their life. They are more fun, their energy feels great to be around, and they are operating at a higher frequency.

Surround yourself with these positive, nourishing, uplifting people whenever you can. Spend your time with spiritually evolved people who encourage your growth and applaud your successes. Wrap yourself in a support network of inspirational people with positive attitudes and energy.

Jack Canfield.

choosing positive over negative for ultimate reward

do the eco.nomics

Today, the 27th day of January, 2011 it is written:  open your eyes, accept the facts and shift your paradigm to a more responsible and sustainable one.

Why?  Peace and achievement.  Why not?  Remain stuck in the lost and found box.

Give yourself the luxury of unconditional happiness.  What?  Yes indeed, it is possible.  Begin by believing in the impossible.  Then carefuly choose your thoughts words and actions.

Why?  Because they create the energy around you.  Attract those and what you want by emitting the same thoughts and actions.  Just like that proverbial boomerang.  You get what you send out.  So put out, so to speak.  Be the excellence, brilliance and achiever you can be.  Allow others to be drawn to you for your authenticity, practical communications and forever grateful attitude.

Begin NOW or forever hold your peace and actions, at least around us.

Living life in the present moment

Posted: 24 Jan 2011 04:41 AM PST

I’ve discovered that I have greater success with living life in the present moment when I remove judgment from what I’m experiencing. Rather than making an event a bad or a good experience, I find myself being in the “isness” of the moment; that is, what I’m feeling is much more helpful than why it isn’t what I think it should be. This is called allowing rather than resisting what is. Even if I wish to change the moment, it’s far more useful to allow it without any judgment and then notice everything I can about it.

The more I stay out of my good-thought/bad-thought routine, the more I’m able to just be with it. I love to observe the instant without any judgment. Birds simply allow whatever comes their way, no matter if the wind picks up or the rain comes, and I work at being like one of those fabulous creatures. The way I do so is to ask myself this question: “What’s happening right here and right now, independent of my opinion about it?” Then I notice all that I can take in—the sky, the wind, the sounds, the light, the insects, the temperature, the people, the judgments…everything. I stay free of opinions and just let myself be. In these moments, I don’t need an excuse or an explanation for anything.

I try to keep in mind that whenever I react against any form that life takes in the present moment, I’m treating the now as some kind of impediment or even as my enemy.

Be without judgment and you’ll never feel the need for some tiresome excuse to use up your precious seconds, such as “I’m too old” or “It will take a long time” or “It will be too difficult.” Instead, you’ll be in the now, welcoming your constant present-moment companion, your Source of being, which knows nothing of excuses and doesn’t know how to be anyplace but here, now. As one of my spiritual predecessors, Dale Carnegie, once wrote: “One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon—instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.”

Become one in the present moment with all of the roses that show up in your life. Stay present: every second, every minute, and every hour. Every day of your life is full of present moments of infinite value. You won’t find God yesterday or tomorrow—your Source is always only here, now.

Change Begins with Choice by Jim Rohn

change is guaranteed

Any day we wish, we can discipline ourselves to change it all.

  • Any day we wish, we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge.
  • Any day we wish, we can start a new activity.
  • Any day we wish, we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year.

We can also do nothing.

We can pretend rather than perform.

And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable, we can remain as we are. We can choose rest over labor, entertainment over education, delusion over truth, and doubt over confidence.

The choices are ours to make.

But while we curse the effect, we continue to nourish the cause. As Shakespeare uniquely observed, “The fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves.” We created our circumstances by our past choices.

We have both the ability and the responsibility to make better choices beginning today. Those who are in search of the good life do not need more answers or more time to think things over to reach better conclusions. They need the truth. They need the whole truth. And they need nothing but the truth.

We cannot allow our errors in judgment, repeated every day, CONTINUE READING HERE
